A continuous oven, also known as a tunnel oven, is a special type of industrial oven in which the charging process is continuous.
Tunnel ovens can be used, for example, for curing, preheating, drying and much more other thermal processes.
In a tunnel oven, the product to be heated is transported continuously. It can lie or stand on a conveyor and be transported. After the goods have passed the entrance side of the tunnel oven, they are constantly exposed to a to a predefined temperature profile.
In tunnel ovens doors at the inlet and outlet ensure that only a small amount of heat can escape, thus avoiding unnecessary energy loss.
The cycles are controlled by control units and take place automatically after the goods have passed the oven entrance. At the end of the curing or preheating process, the goods can be removed from the output side of the conveyor belt. Conveyors can be realised in various designs.

Tunnel oven are universally applicable oven types with freely selectable conveyor speeds. They are available with automatic cycling and can be divided into several zones (heating, heating, cooling) is possible. Optimum temperature distribution is achieved through multi-zone control. The tunnel oven delivers excellent heat treatment results.
