Elmetherm has won a new contract for the design and construction of a continuous oven for the heat treatment, annealing, of metallurgical parts for applications in the railway sector.
About the customer:
The company, which is based in northern France and is a major player in the rail transport market, had already ordered continuous ovens for drying foundry sand cores in 2021.

About the oven:
The oven in question is heated by several gas burners (approx. 350 kW) and will be used for annealing at approx. 500 °C. The parts will be placed on a stainless steel mesh conveyor with dimensions of 10 m x 1.50 m. Delivery and start-up is planned for the end of 2023.
